The Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Partners with Forth EMS Public Company Limited to Enhance Student Potential through Cutting-Edge Technology On Friday, April 24, 2026 , the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University , officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Forth EMS Public Company Limited , under the Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering and Digital Technology program. This collaboration aims to develop talent for the future digital industry, focusing on integrating knowledge, experience, and resources from both organizations to jointly drive academic activities, teaching and learning, and the tangible development of digital technology. The signing ceremony marked a significant milestone, honored by Associate Professor Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit , Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Ms. Laksika Amatanon , Chief Human Resources Officer of Forth EMS Public Company Limited, who served as the official signatories. The ceremony was also witnessed by Assistant Professor Dr. Attawith Sudsang , Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, and Ms. Amporn Chiewchansamut , Human Resources Manager of Forth EMS Public Company Limited. Forth EMS Public Company Limited is a leading company in the electronics industry, providing end-to-end Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) that encompass design, development, manufacturing, and assembly of printed circuit boards ( PCB/PCBA ), as well as product testing. The Department of Computer Engineering extends its heartfelt congratulations to our students for winning the 2nd Runner-Up Award at CP Cup 2025 , held at True Digital Park and organized by Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd. 🏆 Award Received: 2nd Runner-Up in the National Round , with a prize of 20,000 THB . The team was also invited to attend the Global Round competition and to participate in a study visit at Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd. 💡 Project: The team competed with their project titled "CP Retail Store Inter-branch Transfer Decision Support System" — a web-based dashboard platform that recommends inter-branch product transfers for store managers, utilizing sales data to maximize profits and reduce food waste . 👥 Team Members: Mr. Natchet Foithong Mr. Pan Wongworachatikan Ms. Kotchakorn Jitranuraksjareon Ms. Wanatchaporn Kerdchai All team members are students from the Department of Computer Engineering , Computer Engineering and Digital Technology (CEDT) Program . Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Western Digital Storage Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
On Thursday, November 14, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University signed a memorandum of understanding with Western Digital Storage Technologies (Thailand) Ltd., a global leader in innovation and the production of digital storage devices, including Hard Disk Drives and Solid State Drives. This collaboration includes the Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering and Digital Technology program, aiming to establish a structured link between the industry and workforce development in Thailand’s digital engineering sector. The signing ceremony was led by Associate Professor Dr. Wittaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering , and Mr. Philip Bernard, Senior Vice President of HDD Operations at Western Digital Storage Technologies (Thailand) Ltd. , as signatories, with Assistant Professor Dr. Attawit Sudsaeng, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering , and Ms. Nathalita Poopirom, Vice President and Managing Director of HDD Operations, as witnesses. This partnership marks a significant step in integrating education and industry, focusing on curriculum development and experiential learning to prepare a highly capable workforce in computer engineering and digital technology. Department of Computer Engineering Congratulates Students on Winning "Spark Hack" The Department of Computer Engineering would like to extend our warmest congratulations to our students for winning 1st Place at the Spark Hack: Creating a Sustainable Future for All . The team triumphed in the Defense Innovations category. The competition took place from September 27, 2025, to January 17, 2026, at SCB Next Stage, 4th Floor, Siam Paragon. The event was organized by the New Business and Infrastructure Group of PTT Public Company Limited (The Petroleum Authority of Thailand). Award & Project Highlights Award: Winner (Grand Prize of 200,000 THB) Project Name: Catmium Catmium is an AI-driven innovation designed to detect high-emission vehicles by analyzing "Engine Sound Signatures." This system serves as a modern alternative to traditional black smoke checkpoints, which are often limited by time and geographical reach. Using a Microphone Array to capture audio, the AI processes and identifies vehicles likely to emit excessive exhaust. The system then captures the license plate, logs the coordinates, and sends data to a real-time dashboard 24/7. This allows government agencies to pinpoint, track, and tackle PM2.5 pollution at its source with high precision, reducing operational costs and sustainably improving urban quality of life. Year 4 Computer Engineering Students Represent Thailand, Showcasing Innovation at Expo 2025 in Japan
Eyequila, a startup founded by students from Chulalongkorn University, was selected to exhibit at the Chulalongkorn University booth within the Thailand Pavilion (Temporary Exhibition) at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, from October 2–7, 2025, on Yumeshima Island, Osaka, Japan. The booth presented accessible health innovations and invited visitors to engage hands-on with the showcased technologies. Among them was Eyequila, a Digital Health & Wellness startup focused on developing eye care technology for the digital age. Their products include EyeQuest, a vision training game powered by Eye-Tracking technology designed to prevent Digital Eye Strain and myopia progression, and EyeQCheck, an AI-powered chatbot providing personalized eye health consultations. Eyequila was co-founded by students from the Chulalongkorn University School of Integrated Innovation (ScII) and the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. Representing the startup at this event were Ms. Jinjutha Sae-Ueng (CSII, BAScii 003) and Mr. Ratchanon Thanadsang (4th-year Computer Engineering student, CP49, Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering), under the academic supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Pittipol Kantawong, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Setha Panngan, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krerk Piromsopa. The Chulalongkorn University booth attracted over 2,000 visitors, both Japanese and international, who participated in live demonstrations and engaged in discussions about the future development of eye health technology. This participation reflects Chulalongkorn University's commitment to elevating student innovations and Thai startups to the global stage, aligned with the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives" — the official theme of Expo 2025 Osaka.
