Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Western Digital Storage Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

On Thursday, November 14, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University signed a memorandum of understanding with Western Digital Storage Technologies (Thailand) Ltd., a global leader in innovation and the production of digital storage devices, including Hard Disk Drives and Solid State Drives. This collaboration includes the Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering and Digital Technology program, aiming to establish a structured link between the industry and workforce development in Thailand’s digital engineering sector.
The signing ceremony was led by Associate Professor Dr. Wittaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Mr. Philip Bernard, Senior Vice President of HDD Operations at Western Digital Storage Technologies (Thailand) Ltd., as signatories, with Assistant Professor Dr. Attawit Sudsaeng, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, and Ms. Nathalita Poopirom, Vice President and Managing Director of HDD Operations, as witnesses.
This partnership marks a significant step in integrating education and industry, focusing on curriculum development and experiential learning to prepare a highly capable workforce in computer engineering and digital technology. It aims to meet the demands of the digital industry, support the country’s growth trajectory, and drive Thailand toward sustainable and efficient innovation-driven development.
