Undergraduate

The Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, requires students to complete an engineering internship as part of the Bachelor of Engineering curriculum. Third-year students must register for course 2100301 Engineering Practice (2 credits) during the summer semester. This is to provide students with the opportunity to practice and apply knowledge gained in the classroom, become familiar with engineering work, and develop interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others before graduating and entering the engineering profession. Steps to Find an Internship Site

Self-arranged Internship

  1. Students contact the company or organization where they wish to complete the internship on their own.
  2. Once contact is made, students must access the Faculty of Engineering Internship System website (https://student.eng.chula.ac.th/) to request the Career Services Center to issue an internship request letter to the company or organization contacted in step 1. Students must check whether the company is already in the system's database. If not, students must correctly fill in the company name, details, and location, as the Career Services Center will not make corrections to the request letter if incorrect information is provided.
  3. The Career Services Center will process and issue the internship request letter within 3 working days after the information has been submitted in the system. Students can collect the letter at the Career Services Center, Student Affairs Division.
  4. Students must personally submit the request letter to the company and must agree with the company on the internship acceptance and start date. The company must accommodate the student for no less than 280 working hours, no less than 35 working days, and no less than 7 working weeks. If the company declines the student's application, the student should immediately contact another company.
  5. The Career Services Center will issue one request letter at a time. The next letter for a second company will only be issued after receiving a written rejection from the first company.
  6. Students must check for the acceptance document at the faculty's Career Services Center to see whether a response has arrived. If the company has not yet submitted the student acceptance form, students should promptly follow up or notify the company. 7.
  7. Students must secure an internship site within the deadline announced by the faculty each academic year. If unable to find a site, students must notify the department's internship coordinator.
